Gideon Davenport is Chief Executive Officer and a Board Director of Tri-Air Developments Ltd, as well as a Board Director of Inventa Partners Ltd. Gideon was instrumental in the identification of the technology upon which Tri-Air Developments Ltd was formed. During 2005 he identified both the technology’s latent potential and the possible commercial opportunity, and brought together interested organizations, individuals, investors and the technology inventor forming Tri-Air Developments in January 2006. Since the formation of the company Gideon has taken an ongoing role leading commercial activities including marketing, sales, investor liaison, licence negotiation and overall company strategic direction. Gideon’s tenacity and unwavering belief in the vision of the opportunity has inspired the development and production of the first Tri-Air products, the achievement of the first licence deal, and further licence deals to be announced in 2010.
Gideon has over 17 years’ experience in marketing, business development, innovation and strategy consultancy for a wide variety of industries. He has significant experience in assisting R&D institutes and corporate clients in exploring technology commercialisation opportunities.
Upon graduation he joined Thames Water Plc, one of the UK’s leading utility companies, entering their graduate business development programme, where he undertook a variety of roles across operations, marketing, PR and internal consultancy. This experience led him with a select group of colleagues to establish Atomic Tangerine UK, Stanford Research Institute’s technology transfer company. The experience, learning and industry insights gained during his time with Atomic led to Gideon and his co-founders creating Inventa Partners Ltd in 2001 – a technology innovation consultancy focused on the art of successful technology transfer.
