Tri-Air Products combat the threat of air and surface pathogenic
viruses and bacteria

Tri-Air Developments Ltd technology powers highly effective real-time 24/7 decontamination products which can protect against the threat of Biological terrorism, and represents the next generation of real time decontamination for a wide range of internal environments.

The patented technology has been independently tested since 2006 at the UK Government’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) Centre for Emergency Preparedness & Response (CEPR). Tests on various products by the HPA CEPR have shown kill rates up to:

• 99.9999% of airborne test virus (MS2 Coliphage*) in less than 5 minutes
• 99.999% of airborne Staphylococcus epidermis* in less than 2 minutes
• 99.9999% of surface MRSA on glass over a 24 hour period

*Non pathogenic surrogate viruses and bacteria are used in airborne studies. They are selected by CEPR for their resistance and high environmental survival characteristics.

The technology replicates the conditions of the natural biocide process found in abundance in outdoor fresh air – hydroxyl radicals (·OH) – and easily destroys pathogenic viruses and bacteria both in the air and on surface contact.
