Tri-Air Developments has conducted independent verification tests at the UK Government’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) Centre for Emergency Preparedness & Response (CEPR) at Porton Down and the Air Quality laboratories of the UK’s Building Research Establishment.
Highlights from testing at the UK Government’s HPA CEPR
- This testing programme began in June 2006 with a 99.9999% kill of airborne MS2 Coliphage* (surrogate test virus) in less than 5 minutes.
- Testing in 2007 achieved a 99.9999% kill of airborne MRSA* in less than 3 minutes.
- Testing in 2007 achieved a 99.999% kill on glass based MRSA within a 24 hour period.
*Non pathogenic surrogate viruses and bacteria are used in airborne studies. They are selected by CEPR for their resistance and high environmental survival characteristics.
